As a Dental Administrator, you’ll have the opportunity to work at two locations: Southern Shore Dental and Mount Pearl Dental, with the schedule detailed below.
Southern Shore Dental, located at 484 Main Road, has been a cornerstone of the Goulds community for over 15 years. We offer a full range of services, including preventative care, general dentistry, cosmetic treatments, orthodontics, and dental implants.
Goulds, just outside St. John’s, combines small-town charm with convenient city access. It’s surrounded by beautiful trails and parks, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. Its affordable living and strong community ties create a great working environment.
Mount Pearl Dental, situated in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland’s second-largest city, offers a modern practice in a thriving urban area. Mount Pearl provides a blend of modern conveniences, recreational facilities, and green spaces. Its proximity to St. John’s and lower cost of living contribute to a well-rounded lifestyle.

Schedule:
32-40 hours per week
- Wednesday & Thursday: 7:45 AM – 5:30 PM at Southern Shore Dental
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday: Based at Mount Pearl Dental
- Tuesday: 7:45 AM – 7:30 PM (on a rotating schedule with other team members, not responsible for all evening shifts)
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (on a rotating schedule with other team members, not responsible for all Saturdays)
This schedule offers flexibility with rotational shifts for Tuesday evenings and Saturdays.

Responsibilities:
• Make a positive and lasting impression on the patient, from the moment they arrive at the practice to the moment they leave
• Responsible for optimizing the appointment schedule by ensuring the day is full, with limited gaps
• Manage all patient calls and inquiries with a smile: appointments, confirmations, and amendments
• Manage potential cancellations and overcome objections to motivate the patient to keep the appointment
• Bill patients as they come out of the treatment room, take payment, send a claim form to insurance, respond to all fee inquiries in a positive manner
• Effectively manage the recall system and accurately maintain the patient database
• Process referral letters and other patient correspondence upon receipt from the provider
• Manage and file all patient records and charts
• Demonstrate active listening and empathy to patients using effective communication skills
About You:
• Minimum 1 year of Administrator experience
• Clinical background considered an asset
• Experience with Dental software
