Gaps in your smile caused by missing teeth can now be corrected with dental implants. Dental implants are a long term solution for single or multiple missing teeth.
What are the advantages of dental implants?
Dental implants offer a natural looking and long term solution to gaps created by missing teeth.
Dental implants can allow you to enjoy foods such as nuts and raw vegetables comfortably. From a dental health point of view, implants help protect against bone loss, thereby preventing other issues.
What will happen during the placement appointment?
Dental implants are a two-step procedure. During the first step, the titanium 'root' is placed in your jaw bone.
Your dentist will apply anesthetic before starting the surgery.
The titanium ‘root’ is implanted into the jaw bone using a very meticulous and exact surgical technique.
Once the implant is in place, we will close your gum tissue over the implant root and your surgery will be complete.
What will happen once my implant is placed?
As your soft tissue heals, the implant will root or fuse to your jaw bone.
Although patients experience different healing times, it can take up to several months for the soft tissue to fully heal.
The soft tissue will need to be completely healed before we can proceed with implant restoration.
The implant will be completed with the placement of a dental crown.
